Over the past twelve months ICT in Lismackin school has seen many changes. We were so impressed with what we had achieved with our Promethean Board, intalled two years ago, that the BOM agreed to install three eBeam IWBs this year .A dynamic presentation on an interactive whiteboard can raise opportunities for collective engagement, offering varied and exciting ways in which learning outcomes can be achieved. They can form the basis for effective use of multimedia including websites, video and audio, interactive software and other digital equipment such as cameras and scanners .

The children of today been born into a multimedia world often reflected by their bedrooms and home life.Many of them are visual learners and so images, pictures; colour and other visual media help them learn. .They show a huge level of enthusiasm and ability in ICT. and have no fear when it comes to accessing technology. Our pupils are very keen to become involved in the maintenance of their website and they particularly like to blog..

Staff too are showing a real commitment and enthusiasm to the use of ICT and already this is clearly reflected in the increased flexibility and confidence that they have shown with their own classes. The school has hosted a number of courses on integrating ICT into all subject areas. This Summer we will meet with teachers from neighbouring schools to share good practice and ideas. Course qualifies for 3EPV days
